Karlsruhe, September 07, 2010 +++ BrandMaker, Europe’s largest provider of Marketing Resource Management (MRM) Software, presents the new version 5.0 of its BrandMaker MRM suite. Highlight of BrandMaker 5.0 is the new module BrandMaker PIM. It supports product managers in channel-neutral capture, administration and cross-media provision of product data. This way, beyond meta data users as e.g. retailers especially profit from the availability of advertising texts with corresponding image material belonging to a product which directly can be used in advertisements and other advertising media. Unlike conventional PIM systems, BrandMaker allows product data to be utilizable also in the advertising. For the development of its PIM solution, BrandMaker paid special attention to a modern, user-friendly tool as well as to the flexibility of the system. Workflows, having to be passed through during the product data maintenance, as well as content needed to be captured in data sheets can be configured to company-specific requirements. Both the creation of workflows and of the data sheets of BrandMaker PIM may be individually tailored by user companies – user-friendly by drag & drop and without any programming.
In the version 5.0 BrandMaker furthermore completely revised the Web-to-Print module. Improved user guidance in the Individualization-Editor guarantees an even better clarity and makes it for users easier to generate customized media. Functionally, the Web-to-Print module has been expanded by the Live-Editor, illustrating changes to a document in real time. Moreover, BrandMaker expanded the Web-to-Print module by functions particularly beneficial for the retail sector. With the new Smart Groups and Smart Pages users may revert to prefabricated layout building blocks during the individualization process and simply drag and drop them. Smart Groups contain of layout building blocks with texts and images, being able to be made available in different sizes whereas Smart Pages enable entire pages of documents to be added to the advertising medium at any position. This significantly reduces the processing time of advertising materials and fosters a continuous corporate design.
Along with the release of the new version 5.0 there is also a MRM solution specially designed for the retail sector: BrandMaker Retail. Via BrandMaker Retail retailers are in the position to map the entire process chain in the creation of advertising materials – from the planning and graphic design over the selection of product categories and articles including pricing to review and print. BrandMaker Retail covers the whole spectrum of advertising materials: centrally defined and locally customizable advertising media for placement in sales branches as well as leaflet advertising for households – always under the consideration of regional differentiations. Mirko Holzer, CEO of BrandMaker, outlines the advantages of the new industry solution for the retail sector: „Thanks to the new Smart Groups a category manager is able to drag and drop products to the intended product area depending on the subject during the conception of the promotional leaflets. The PIM delivers in the background the corresponding information about an item such as price with suitable advertising texts. This considerably shortens the creation effort and via standardization and partial automation drastically reduces costs in the production of advertising materials.“
