MediaBudget 2009: BrandMaker introduces fully automated media booking

BrandMaker’s “Virtual Media Agency” revolutionizes cross-media booking process

Karlsruhe, Germany, June 25, 2009. At the MediaBudget trade fair in Stuttgart (Sept. 8-9, 2009; Hall C2, Stand 2D07) BrandMaker will introduce a new module for its successful Marketing Resource Management (MRM) solution, BrandMaker: the “Virtual Media Agency”. BrandMaker, headquartered in Karlsruhe, is Europe’s largest supplier of MRM systems. The new module lets enterprises optimize their cross-media booking processes. People responsible for corporate marketing, planners in ad agencies, and those involved in decentralized sales channels, such as dealers and franchisees, can use the software to book not only print ads, but also web banner ads, radio and movie-theater spots, as well as outdoor billboard reservations with the click of a mouse from within BrandMaker. The Virtual Media Agency not only contains the relevant advertising media, but also all the relevant data about the medium in which the ad is placed. For example, if a dealer wants to use a regionally-targeted web banner and a movie-theater spot along with a local print ad for his campaign, he uses the software module to choose the desired media outlets, selects the desired formats, and then individualizes the advertisements for his local requirements. Finally, he books the placement of his ads directly with the publisher or marketer.

BrandMaker’s Virtual Media Agency allows the users themselves to book media ranging from print ads to radio and theater spots, as well as outdoor advertising, to web banners, with minimal effort. In order to enable direct booking of ad placements through BrandMaker, cooperative agreements with various leading marketers are currently being developed. A special interface will permit the marketers’ media data to be transferred directly to BrandMaker. Partnerships throughout Europe are currently being established; in a subsequent step, marketers and publishers in North America will also be integrated. BrandMaker’s new module addresses the needs of centrally organized marketing departments and media agencies; they can handle their media planning and booking in-house, thereby optimizing the process. The module is especially advantageous for marketing that involves dealers or franchisees, since it greatly simplifies media planning for local sales partners, and it completely automates their ad-booking processes. “With the Virtual Media Agency, we are opening up an unexplored area of marketing software,” says BrandMaker CEO Mirko Holzer. “As the first supplier to offer this capability, we are providing a platform that supports all cross-media channels, from the local town theater to international ad networks.”
