Karlsruhe, November 3, 2011 +++ Leading analysts predict a breakthrough in the next twelve months for Marketing Resource Management (MRM) as an independent software category for marketers in Europe. Accordingly, the interest in the road show on this topic that was organized by BrandMaker and its partners arvato, Across, Der Punkt, wirDesign, 7Seas, and Quark was also very high. More than 350 participants registered for the half-day informational events in four German cities. The visitors' feedback was quite positive. "That afternoon was a true goldmine for me," was the conclusion of Isa Uttenweiler of Andritz Separation GmbH. Thematically, the topics ranged from rich media, Web-to-Publish, and local area marketing to the implementation of brands, on through to the localization of marketing content.
Of special interest were the best-practice lectures by MRM users from a variety of industries. Among other things, Thomas Breg of the machine builder Franz Haas and Michelle Euzet of the automotive supplier ZF Friedrichshafen focused on the role of MRM for the central control of worldwide marketing activities. The contributions by Tina Haag of the logistics company GLS and Hans Stupf of the financial services provider UBS focused on the slimming down of processes and the unification of content in complex corporate structures, a significant aspect.
From the organizers' point of view, the concept of the road show proved itself: "Our offer to provide a compact overview of new methods and technologies in half-day info events was one that many marketing decision-makers took us up on gladly," says BrandMaker CEO Mirko Holzer, echoing the sentiments of the participating partners as he takes stock. "Our mission was to position Marketing Resource Management as a solution and technological approach in German marketing departments. The many registrations and discussions with participants make clear that new trends from marketing IT meet with great interest, and some of these are already being evaluated internally. In any case there will be a continuation of this event next year."
The participating partners who presented their solutions for a wide variety of challenges in everyday marketing work made a substantial contribution to this success. Across showed why professional language technologies and localization methods are necessary for efficient localization processes in global marketing. Representatives of the arvato Group, which belongs to Bertelsmann, made clear how with its sales units on-site, the traditional German insurance company Württembergische has achieved holistic and especially practical local area marketing. Using the motto "rich media for all," Der Punkt presented its tool Rich Media Plus, which companies can use to produce effective, interactive Web presentations easily all by themselves. Dr. Erich Koetter and speakers from Quark and Star Publishing demonstrated the fluid transition from Web-to-Print to Web-to-Publish and the advantages of the new digital output channels using the example of the iPad. 7Seas, experts in internationalization and content management, revealed how "in the era of hybrid communication" content from one source can be prepared for all sources. And wirDesign, one of the leading German brand control agencies, presented new solution approaches for the implementation of brands and the change management associated with this.
